I started Savage Tax Advisory because the most valuable tax work rarely happens at a deadline. It happens in the decisions made all year long, and my practice is built around being in those conversations before they turn into a tax bill.
A bit about me
I'm Alex Savage, a CPA and CFP® professional and the founder of Savage Tax Advisory. My background includes extensive experience in tax planning, real estate, partnerships, and alternative assets, and I especially enjoy helping clients think through how real estate and other planning opportunities can support a more tax-efficient lifestyle, business structure, and retirement plan.
What I enjoy most is diving into each client's unique situation and helping bring the different pieces together. Taxes, investments, cash flow, business ownership, real estate, and family goals all overlap. My role is to organize those moving parts, identify opportunities, and build a strategy that gives you more clarity and confidence in the decisions you're making.
I live in the Des Moines area with my wife and son, and I work with clients here in Iowa and across the country. When I'm not working with clients, you'll usually find me traveling with my family, planning our next National Park trip, or watching football or basketball.
